Simiane Brahy’s inspiring journey into gospel music
Simiane Brahy was born on May 15 in Istres, a charming town in the south of France. Coming from a Christian family, she learned the ways of God from a very young age. Her parents, pastors dedicated to their ministry, raised Simiane with strong spiritual values. She is the youngest of four children.
Musical and artistic journey
From the age of five, Simiane had a vivid dream where she saw herself singing in front of huge crowds, healing souls with her talent. This dream then turned into reality, as she performed in various contexts, including interpreting songs in several African dialects. Over the years, she had the opportunity to perform in Ghana, Benin, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Simiane was baptized at the age of ten, thus committing herself to the service of God. She was a long-time faithful of the church La Porte De La Réconciliation before joining La Porte des Cieux, where she continues to be spiritually refreshed and to grow in her ministry.
Her academic journey included some law studies, which she eventually put aside to devote herself fully to her music career. She became a well-known professional musician, playing the piano and leading worship services with passion. Her breakthrough came after a Ghanaian man of God prophesied a bright future in music, encouraging her to perform in Africa.
Success and collaborations
Over the years, Simiane has made a name for herself on the gospel scene, sharing stages with notable Nigerian and American gospel artists. In 2019, she released her debut album titled “Les ciels sont ouverts”. Since then, she has collaborated with popular artists including Dena Mwana and Michel Bakenda, continually expanding her musical repertoire. Simiane has also been signed to the Dorhema label and joined Motown Gospel Africa in 2021.
Her career has taken her to over 30 countries, where she has had the opportunity to lead worship moments. Simiane is also active on social media, where she shares her musical journey under the stage name SimianeMusic, proving herself to be a role model, trainer and inspiration for many young people.
