Multi-award-winning artist and songwriter Zach Williams shared on social media this week that he was at home recovering from a COVID-19 infection.
Williams was scheduled to perform at K-LOVE’s “Live At Red Rocks” concert on August 3, but had to pull out due to the infection. Cory Asbury of Bethel Music replaced Williams at the live event which also included Casting CrownsWe Are Messengers, CAIN and Brandon Heath. Asbury honored Williams with a few lines from “Chain Breaker” and the entire crowd joined in to record a get-well message for Williams.
“Laying here tonight recovering from COVID and I get this video in a text,” Williams posted. “I remember that feeling of joy that comes over me every night when we sing the lyrics to ‘Chain Breaker’ – and now I hear others singing them. God ALWAYS has a perfect plan. He always uses the words He put on my heart for His glory, even when I’m lying in bed.”
Williams concluded the post by saying he was feeling “much better” and planned to get back on the road soon. You can keep up to date with Zach’s tour schedule here. We wish Zach a full and speedy recovery!
