The singer Virgínia Arruda is a big bet on the Gospel music in Brazil for the next few years. Also a bishop and creator of “Word of the Day”, which transmits devotional messages to her followers via YouTube and social networks, it now has more than 200 million views to spread the Word. This year, Virginia arrives with force in the musical part, presenting her new project “Tua Graça Me Alcançou”, expanding its path to the Brazilian public and opening up to the international audience.
Today (18), Virginia Arruda releases the song “Holy” on all digital platforms with the participation of singer Michael Bethany, one of the main singers of Gateway Worship. The recording took place at the end of last year, where the singer came from UNITED STATES directly to Brazil, in particular to participate in this project. Virgínia Arruda today reaches more than 110 countries a day, through her YouTube channel where she dispenses the Word based on the Bible in addition to praying and studying daily with her disciples, an extremely important figure when it comes to channel and direct the Word of God. On her Facebook, she has nearly 150,000 subscribers on her fanpage and on YouTube, nearly a million subscribers watch her daily. On this platform, the bishop was the creator of the board “A Palavra do Dia”, which leaves positive and important messages to those who need them, and her official channel has already exceeded the important mark of almost 200 million views. “I have been generating daily content to reach people for six years. It has never failed and it is very important to people. My business taking the Word of God is what saves a lot of people from a bad day.” On Instagram, organic engagement is gigantic: more than 400,000 followers follow Virginia’s publications, in some cases exceeding the barrier of one million accounts reached.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Michael Bethany attributes his passion for music to his family heritage. One of six siblings, he got his start in his father’s home church and quickly became a singer, songwriter and accomplished performer. Appearing on stage for Tyler Perry’s hit play, “I Can Do Bad All By Myself”, Michael continued his career producing, singing, writing and traveling. In 2005, he moved to Dallas, Texas to join the award-winning artist, Fred Hammond’s team.
In addition to being part of the Daystar Singers and Band, Michael is also part of the worship ministry at Gateway Church for Pastor Robert Morris. In 2016, he released his first album, Yours Forever. He also started his own nonprofit, Global Worship Ministries. Michael and his wife, Chavon, have been married for 15 years and have two sons.
