Today (April 4), Marc Martel released a video of his cover of Nicole C. Mullen’s “Redeemer,” which can be viewed below.
Martel shares on social media about this release:
“In 2001, when I moved to Nashville from Canada, my band, Downhere, and I were immediately caught up in the wave of a labelmate experimenting with his first No. 1 song, called “Redeemer.” Nicole C. Mullen won Song of the Year that year at the Dove Awards, and it’s easy to see why. I haven’t seen her since the early 2000s, but her song stuck with me. It’s hard to think of a more fitting song to talk about the resurrection of Christ. Happy Easter, everyone!”
