Gospel Airplay Breakthrough: Todd Dulaney’s “Satisfied” Soars
Todd Dulaney’s “Satisfied,” featuring Smokie Norful, has soared to the top of Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart (dated September 17). During the tracking week ending on September 11, the song saw a notable 7% increase in streams, as reported by Luminate. This achievement marks Dulaney’s sixth No. 1 and Norful’s third on the Gospel Airplay charts. Furthermore, it establishes Dulaney’s remarkable fifth consecutive No. 1, setting a new record within the chart’s 17-year history. Norful rejoices in this success after over 15 years. “Satisfied” follows Dulaney’s previous hit, “Revelation 4,” which led the charts for a week last September.
Before “Satisfied,” Dulaney released “Psalms 18 (I Will Call Your Name),” which captured the top spot for one week in October 2020, “You’re Doing It All Again” featuring Nicole Harris made a significant impact in September 2019, and “Your Great Name” dominated for eight weeks beginning in March 2018. Dulaney currently outshines Jonathan McReynolds, who holds an active streak of four No. 1 Gospel Airplays throughout his career, having recently topped charts with “Grace” in August 2021. Meanwhile, McReynolds is poised to extend his streak with his latest single “Your World,” which recently climbed from 18 to 17 for a new high (up 6%).
Before his record-breaking achievements, Dulaney graced the Gospel Airplay charts as a featured artist on Jessica Love’s “I Draw Near” (No. 19, 2015) and clinched his first No. 1 with “The Anthem,” reigning for six weeks starting in April 2016. He reached number three in August 2017 with “Victory Belongs to Jesus.”
