The Group Fire Lands Second No. 1 on Billboard Reading of the Gospel graphic like “Fix it» topped the February 19 survey. During the tracking week ending February 13, the single increased 12% in plays, according to MRC Data.
“Fix it” follows “More than friends“, which led the list for one week in January 2021.
The quintet, hailing from Newark, NJ, includes two sets of brothers: Justin, Juwan and Terelle Cooper, and Al-Shamir and Tajohn Hill.
“It’s incredible. Having two No. 1 records in a row is a dream come true,” says Terelle Cooper. “It lets us know that we serve an incredible God who answers prayers.”
The act was a quartet before Justin Cooper joined as lead singer last July. (He previously played drums behind the singers for five years.)
Keeping it even more in the family, “Fix It” was written by Steve Cooper, father of Justin, Juwan and Terelle.
