Portrait of the artist: deep roots in musical flight

Born September 26, 1992 at Carrefour, near Port-au-Prince, Slooze grew up in a Christian family where music occupies a central place. Daughter of a pastor father and a mother chef, she developed a spiritual sensitivity very early on: “At eight, I was already on a stool to reach the microphone during evangelical concerts”, she recalls with emotion.

His precocity quickly leads him to follow a further training. Finalist and 2ᵉ place of the Starmax competition in 2011, she then multiplies scenic experiences as a chorister with several great voices of the Haitian scene.

A journey marked by social commitment

Before kissing evangelical music, Slooze is evolving almost a decade on the Haitian social scene. From 2015 to 2020, she lends her voice to citizen causes and participated in various festivals. “The requirement of the music industry cannot be aligned at all with the values acquired in my family. Genesis of the work

Born from his moments of intimacy with God, the song reflects Slooze’s personal quest: to meet “his” God, not only that of his parents. “Koneksyon” illustrates this thirst for spiritual relationship and encourages everyone to develop their own divine connection.
