Church fires senior pastor after ‘shock’ arrest for patronizing minor for sex
After ‘shock’ arrest, church board members Christian of Mount Hope, Fayette County, West Virginia, say they have fired their senior pastor, Elbert Eugene Goins, better known as “Buddy Goins.”
A day after his arrest for allegedly patronizing a minor victim of sexual servitude. They said the incident “shocked” them.
In a statement reported by WOAY, the board clarified that the event did not take place on our church premises or building.
The FBI has also assured us that there is no evidence to suggest any involvement by members of our congregation in the events leading to the arrest of Mr. Goins.
We are actively cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation into this matter.
