Salvation Choir, Haiti

Share

Historical

It all started in a carnival camp with the Youth Association of our Church, in 2002. We were rehearsing the theme song of the camp and Eudes Sinvil had the idea of founding a . On our return to Port au Prince, we made arrangements and the choir was born with Jean Marc Charles as manager and Hébert Jean Claude as maestro… and more than a hundred members. The choir has changed maestro, manager and we have been much smaller since then.

Salvation Choir”, whose head office is located in Haiti, WI at the local Evangelical of Haiti, Church of God De Fontamara 37, is a Christian who specializes in art. We give ourselves the task of preaching, announcing the good news of Jesus Christ through our voice and music. All this, with the sole objective of praising the name of the Lord, the Divine creator, master of the universe. In no case do we want to miss this essential objective of our life as an Evangelical Christian. Jesus Christ, our savior, was crucified on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. As a sign of gratitude to God, we devote ourselves to his service. During this artistic and spiritual journey, we hope to bring lost souls back to the Good Shepherd by reminding people that God cares about them since they are precious in His eyes. “He gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for the forgiveness of all humanity.”

We were born in 2002, now we are in 2008. All we can say is Eben Ezer, Eben Eber, so far the Lord has helped us. There are always ups and downs in this life, but God is always there to help us. The choir has had a lot of bad times but there are many more good times. One of the worst moments we had was the abandonment of our maestro in 2007. Now David Lindor currently holds this position. One of the good moments was the presentation of the Ticket Nemours for best video in 2007 to Musique en Folie.

Pou Sèvis Ou is our first album. It was our ex-maestro Ebert Jean Claude who chose the title, the album contains 11 pieces with different themes. All the compositions and the vast majority of the texts are by maestro Ebert Jean Claude from whom we have since separated. The songs are performed as lead by Roobens Dor, Nerlande Douglas, Claire Annie Valdor, Gédéon Michael and so on. The last piece is performed by the maestro himself. The album was produced by Pierre Harry Candio, New manager of the Salvation Choir, for Gétrèze Productions. The recordings had been completed since 2006 but problems having arisen, we are finally ready today.

For the Clip we were satisfied, Papin and I had thought of this kind of scenario, it took us a month and a half…We chose this piece because we thought that the text is very deep and easy to remember.
