Discover Ryan Ellis: Revolutionizing Christian Music Today
Ryan Ellis, a talented singer-songwriter and worship leader, made a significant impact last summer with his debut single, “Heart of the Father,” which has garnered over five million streams and is currently among the Top 20 most-added songs on U.S. radio stations. As a member of the Provident Label Group/Sony Music family, Ellis is furthering his musical journey with the release of Episode I, a six-song compilation featuring a diverse blend of R&B, pop, and worship tracks.
Episode I, which includes songs like “Higher Ground” and “Need Heaven,” is now available on all major digital platforms, solidifying Ellis’s position in the Christian music scene. While Ryan Ellis is a new signing, his remarkable talent has been honed over years of songwriting for prominent artists like Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Natalie Grant. His participation in Chris Tomlin’s hit “Resurrection Power” earned him a GMA Dove Award nomination in 2018, showcasing his artistic credibility.
Ryan’s journey is not solely defined by accolades; he also values his roles as a devoted husband and father while being driven by his passion for Jesus and guiding others to Him. “Music is a universal language,” he states. “I want my songs to inspire and uplift listeners, reminding them that they are deeply loved.”
Before pursuing his music career, Ryan served five years in the U.S. Navy, including an intensive tour in Afghanistan. His artistic roots began in childhood when he was a founding member of the renowned hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez. A personal encounter with Jesus changed his trajectory, leading him to become a worship pastor and release projects like Live from the Upper Room II and Kingdom Glory.
With millions of streams and a growing fan base, Ryan Ellis continues to impact lives through his music. “I want people to deepen their relationship with God and feel empowered to express themselves,” he shares. Ellis resides in Southern California with his wife and two children.
