RCA Inspiration, a leading label for gospel and inspirational music, congratulates Mali Music (K Approved Enterprises/RCA Inspiration) on its first GRAMMY® Award. Announced at the 63rd Annual GRAMMY® Awards, Mali Music won the award for Best Gospel Performance/Song as a co-performer on the #1 hit song by Jonathan McReynolds & Mali Music “Movin’ On” (RCA Inspiration/eOne). Mali Music, who also co-wrote the soulful track (credited as Kortney Jamaal Pollard), earned the GRAMMY® win for her fourth career nomination, following three nominations previous in the categories Traditional R&B, Urban Contemporary and Gospel.
Also at the premiere ceremony, Kierra Sheard (Karew Entertainment/RCA Inspiration) made an appearance in the special nominees performance that kicked off the show. In the musical tribute to Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology)” celebrating the classic song’s 50th anniversary, the three-time GRAMMY® nominee sang in the star-studded lineup that included twenty of this year’s nominees in Jazz, Latin, R&B, Gospel, Rock, Instrumental and other categories.
