Morton Records, the label founded and run by 6x GRAMMY winner PJ Morton, has signed a new partnership with The SRG-ILS Group (Virgin Music/Universal Music Group), announced on February 17, 2026, in New York. This strategic deal brings Morton Records into a wider global distribution and marketing network, just as PJ Morton celebrates his sixth GRAMMY and prepares his next era of releases.
The New Orleans–based soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer is also known as the longtime keyboardist for Maroon 5 and for high-profile collaborations across R&B, hip-hop and soul. He has worked with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo and Jill Scott, and made history as the first Black composer to write an original song for a Disney attraction with music for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Under this new partnership, PJ Morton will begin unveiling songs from his forthcoming album later in 2026, positioning Morton Records for a new phase of growth while maintaining his creative leadership over the label.
