The famous worship leader and songwriter Phil Wickham and Transparent Productions announce its 2022 “Hymn of Heaven” national tour featuring special guest Josh Baldwin. The 32-city tour will be sponsored by Compassion International. Tickets go on sale today – Click here buy.
The tour is named after his latest album, Hymn of Heaven (Fair Trade Services), which features 13 songs, including his multi-week No. 1 hit “Battle Belongs” and the current No. 1 song on Mediabase Christian Audience, “House of the Lord.” That song is also No. 2 on Billboard’s National Christian Audience and Christian Indicator charts. This is his eighth studio album, and it has already amassed 90.3 million streams and 32.8 million cumulative video views since its release this summer.
“It’s been amazing to see how these new songs have connected with people and faith communities in the months since their release,” shares Phil Wickham. “Really moved by this. Now I can’t wait to gather in venues all over the country to sing these songs and prayers together! I hope you can all make it to one (or more) of these nights!”
Throughout the process of creating new music during a global pandemic that created unprecedented challenges for the local church, Wickham saw an opportunity – church wasn’t relegated to a building. It was happening in our homes and in our hearts. And in 2022, he’ll be able to bring these songs to life in concert to take on a whole new meaning as believers gather together.
“The hymn from heaven is full of praise and thanksgiving, just lifting up the name of Jesus and saying what we really know is reality even though we don’t see it,” he says. “All I want to do is facilitate moments where people can encounter the presence of God.”
