Penguin Random House UK inaugurates Ebury Vine, first Christian label
On September 17, 2025, Penguin Random House UK announced the official launch of his first Christian label, Ebury Vine, marking a major stage in the British and international edition. This initiative follows a growing demand for publications related to faith and spirituality, reflecting socio-cultural evolution in the United Kingdom, where churches attendance has increased by 50% in six years and now exceeds two million regular faithful.
Ebury Vine incorporates the EBURY SELF Division of PRH UK, alongside Rider, Vermilion and Happy Place Books. The label specializes in works on faith, spiritual growth and personal development. His vocation is to inspire an audience in search of meaning, wisdom and resources to guide their spiritual journey.
The editorial management is entrusted to Charisa Gunasekera, previously editor at Spuck Publishing and a recognized specialist in works of spirituality, which has already acquired fifteen titles for Ebury Vine. She will also manage the Rider collection, has long focused on spirituality. Olivia Morris, Director of Publication, says that this strategy is part of a desire to energize and permanently structure the Christian sector in PRH UK.
Among the first announced titles are “Waiting for Jesus: An Advent Invitation to Prayer and Renewal” by Rich Villodas, “Rhythms of Faith” by Claude Atcho, specialist in the liturgical calendar, as well as works signed by Dr Martin Shaw, Mark Batterson, Joshua Becker and Tish Harrison Warren. These are influential authors in Anglo-Saxon ecclesiastical and literary circles, addressing themes of renewal, hope and spiritual quest.
The launch of the Ebury Vine label translates the ambition of Penguin Random House to meet the expectations of Christian readers, while reaching a new curious audience of spirituality, in a context where Christianity occupies a renewed place in British culture. This initiative is praised as a contribution of added value to the European editorial sector, based on documented intentions and official figures.
