Ordination of Pastor Luckson known as Fr Luckson of the Zòn Pa Fè Moun Foundation

On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Brother Luckson Jean, better known as Fr Luckson of the Zòn Pa Fè Moun Foundation, was ordained as a pastor.

This ceremony, announced on the Facebook page of the Zòn Pa Fè Moun Foundation, was led by the apostle Joël François of the Mission Church of God the Conquest, in the presence of his family, the children of the Zòn Pa Fè Moun foundation and several other guests.

What are the impacts of the Zòn Pa Fè Moun Foundation on underprivileged children?

Luckson Jean, or Fr Luckson, is a son of Cité Soleil, a region known for its social and economic challenges. His journey has not been easy, but he has always chosen to dedicate his life to helping those most in need. His foundation, “Frè Luckson Zòn Pa fè moun,” represents a beacon of hope for the disenfranchised of Haitian society. Through his work, he has touched the lives of many underprivileged children, acting as a father, a shepherd, and a friend. Brother Luckson’s ordination as a pastor is a deserved for his unceasing devotion.

Does Brother Luckson have any formal theological training?

Brother Luckson’s ordination raises questions about the need for formal theological training to become a pastor. The Bible provides several examples of spiritual leaders without formal training. Peter and John, for example, were fishermen whom Jesus chose to spread his message. Proverbs 4:7 says, “The beginning of wisdom is to get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding.” This highlights the importance of wisdom and spiritual understanding, more than formal education.

However, the Christian tradition often values theological training. These programs provide a deep understanding of the Bible, church history, doctrine, and ancient languages. Brother Luckson, while not theologically trained, says he has received ministerial training from several pastors and apostles. He believes that a pastor with a calling can become a theologian, but a theologian does not necessarily have a divine call to become a pastor.

A Spiritual and Personal Call

In an interview with Jubau, Brother Luckson shared his initial reluctance to become a pastor. He had dreams related to his calling in 2013 and 2014. He felt more called to be an evangelist, preferring field work to running a congregation.

It was only in the years 2020 and 2021 that he gradually felt that God was putting in him certain fruits of the Spirit, such as patience and tolerance. In talking with his apostle, he realized that his true calling was to take care of children, not only to find them on the streets, but also to guide them spiritually.

Brother Luckson does not see himself starting a church; he wants to continue working directly with children. For him, becoming a pastor will not change his fundamental mission. He will continue to seek and care for children, forming them spiritually and socially. Furthermore, he firmly believes that God has planned his life and that his role is to be a divine tool for children.

and Influence

The ordination of Brother Luckson by Apostle Joël François and Pastors Marc-Arthur and Domingue is a publicity for his work and influence. Brother Luckson acknowledges that God has used him to save many children, and becoming a pastor is an extension of that role. He says his ministry will remain focused on children, even as a pastor.

God bless Brother Luckson and his family, we hope that Brother Luckson’s ordination as a pastor will not change his heart devoted to children, but will strengthen his role and influence as a spiritual leader.
