On Saturday August 31, 2019 Media Levanjil announced during a press conference the official launch of the Media Levanjil Awards 2019 project.
According to the committee’s explanations, #MLA19 was created with the aim of encouraging actors in the evangelical sector to produce more quality works. Media Levanjil claims to have observed, from 2012 to 2019, a considerable increase in productions in the sector and sees the opportunity to come with MLA19 in order to reward and encourage actors to produce in quantity and quality.
6 categories of nominations for this first edition were retained:
““ Album of the year
““ Male Artist of the Year
““ Female Artist of the Year
““ Group of the year
““ Choir of the year
““ Music of the year
The distribution of votes will be as follows:
The public will vote through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and the total votes will count for 15%. The media will be able to influence the results by up to 35%, however, the counting method has not yet been revealed as well as the list of methods © participating media, and the rest (50%) will be controlled by the jury.
Jean Carlos Mesy, CEO of Media Levanjil told us that the identity of the members of the jury will be known later with the exception of Vanessa Léger Dorélien who plays the role of commissioner for this first edition.
What are the areas of expertise of this committee? What are the selection criteria to be nominated? We are confident that the Media Levanjil team will do everything possible for the success of this great initiative.
The committee is currently working to finalize and present the list of nominated artists, groups and choirs by October 24, 2019, the date which will mark the start of public and media votes, until ™as of December 19, 2019.
