The interpretation of the album “I Believe It Now” resonated so deeply with Lane’s own journey to find Christ that she began sharing the song with her 400,000+ TikTok followers. A few phone calls later, and the rising singer/songwriter found herself in the studio with Sidewalk Prophets lead singer Dave Frey. Lane and Frey shared the story with fans earlier this week on Instagram and TikTok live chats.
Originally found on Sidewalk Prophets’ The Things That Got Us Here, the 2022 iteration of “I Believe It Now” sits at the intersection of faith and doubt. The addition of “Songland” contestant and former atheist Olivia Lane gives the track a different dimension as she shines a light on her testimony real in every note. The passionate, driving duet finds Lane and the Dove Award-winning band exploring the tension between belief and reality through a string-laden new tune filled with both conflict and resolution.
As the single continues to climb the radio charts, Sidewalk Prophets is currently touring the country on the band’s headlining tour “I Believe It Now Tour.” The 35-city outing continues this weekend with dates extending into May. This summer, the band will welcome fans to their hometown of Nashville for the “Great Big Family Reunion” from July 1-4, 2022.
