Recently, Justin Bieber and Chandler Moore from the Billboard No.1 cult group Maverick City Music gathered for a Churchome worship session in Kirkland, Washington. Performing a number of songs — including Maverick’s “Jireh” (over 13 million streams on YouTube), Justin Bieber’s “How He Loves” and “Where Do I Fit In” — the two seamlessly connect emotionally and spiritually to the music’s central themes, God’s love.
Maverick City Music recently made headlines for their Billboard Music Award win for Top Gospel Album for the April 2020 release of Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1. The group has won twice in the category and was also a finalist for Top Gospel Artist. Their latest release Old Church Basement, a collaboration album with Elevation Worshipbroke streaming records on Apple Music and Spotify. On Apple Music, the band set a new global record for most first-day streams for a Christian and gospel album, and on Spotify, the album broke the US record for most single-day streams for an album by a Christian group and was No. 4 of all US albums in its first weekend of release.
The Billboard Music Award-winning group is currently gearing up for their upcoming project Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition, which includes features and collaborations from some of the biggest names in music – Justin Bieber, P. This coming fall, Maverick City Music will embark on its first-ever tour and the 90-minute shows will feature electrifying performances with members of the Dante Bowe Collective, Chandler Moore, Naomi RaineJoe L.
