Jonathan Laurince is a Gospel recording artist,
a prolific jazz and classical trumpet player. He studied music at Ecole St. Trinity which is Haiti’s most prestigious School of music. He proudly represented his country on 2000 at a Trumpet Competition organized by the International Trumpet Guild (ITG). In 2002 he founded two bands. He received on 2005 the best male vocalist of the year 2005 by the Haitian Music Award (HMA).
On 2012, he was elected and interviewed by Black Enterprise (BE) as a humanitarian/musician for his single titled “I Know Haiti Will Rise Again” that he released after the earthquake that devastated his native country. The interview was aired on few television networks such as BET and NBC6.
Mr. Laurince and his Gospel band The True Worshipers (TW) was nominated as “2013 Best Caribbean Gospel group” by the International Reggae and World Music Award (IRAWMA) that was due on May 5th 2013. On 2012 he received a Proclamation from the Mayor of North Miami proclaiming October 27th, Jonathan Laurince’s Day. He just released his fourth CD Project entitled “Gras Pou Haiti” where he featured the new version of the Haitian national anthem “La Dessalinienne” that he produced and performed with his brass band. Mr.
Laurince is already working on his fifth project that is due on 2014 as he is getting ready to release his first Jazz Trumpet solo project sometimes during the summer of 2013. Mr. Laurince is getting ready to release two music videos which is two singles that will featured in his upcoming project CD and DVD project entitled “Now The Time Has Come”.
He currently lives in Miami Florida with his wife and Three beautiful kids where he is impacting and uplifting the world and the Haitian community through his music and humanitarian works.
