In Matthew 22:37
The Bible tells us that our Lord Jesus taught how to love our father in heaven, the Almighty God.
37 Jesus answered him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Often, you and I love someone with all our hearts and, if we go into our memories, we will see that this love is uncontrollable, yet we manage quite easily to control our feelings for God.
The word exhorts us to love God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind.
How?
Remember that God is spirit, therefore we must worship Him in spirit and in truth, with a sincere heart. Sincere in our feelings, sincere in our promises, sincere in the position that God occupies in our life.
Several verses in the book of Psalm remind us that we must command our soul to praise the eternal, to adore him, to glorify him. We will agree that it is not a habit of prayer to ask our soul to submit to God, and to worship him, so we must learn to do it today.
Finally, when we are in the presence of God, we must guard our minds from all distractions, from all temptations, from all visual or spiritual sins. Let us give more room to the Holy Spirit, and we will be able to combat carnal thoughts.
Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, let us strive every day to apply the word.
In our prayers, let us ask the Holy Spirit to take all the space.
The day this happens in your life, if it hasn’t already, you will see how easy it is to love God with all your heart, soul and mind.
God bless you!
