Restoring the Bouteille square in Gonaïves: a commendable initiative, Rode Youme Dieujuste gets involved
Rode Youme Dieujuste, evangelical artist and champion of Digicel Stars in 2011, is actively involved in the renovation of the Bottle Square in Gonaïves, Haiti. In his video published on July 24, 2024, Rod Youme is a spokesperson for ARTIBOVISION by reaching out to Christian and non-Christian artists, as well as all Haitians, to join this initiative.
The artist highlighted the importance of the Place Bouteille, a historic site where Haiti’s Declaration of Independence was written in 1803. Unfortunately, this central park has been neglected and is in urgent need of repair. Rode Youme Dieujuste urges to revive this public space, which is crucial for socializing and community gatherings.
Artibovision has been working on this project for several months now and continues to multiply contacts in order to give new life to Place Boisrond Tonnerre, also known as Place Bouteille.
A Call to Action for Renovation
In his 2:54 video, Rode Youme Dieujuste speaks out for the needs of the city of Gonaïves, emphasizing the importance of a well-maintained public space. He calls on Haitian youth not to shirk their responsibilities, highlighting the future repercussions of their inaction. This initiative is part of a noble and Christian-like approach, according to the words of God, aimed at raising awareness among the entire population of the importance of renovating the Place Bouteille. Among the solutions proposed, the artist presented several options for participating in this renovation, inviting everyone to contribute to this collective effort according to their respective capacity.
Artist’s achievements and collaboration
Rode Youme Dieujuste is no stranger to social and musical initiatives. In addition to his current involvement, he has collaborated with artists such as Delly Benson And Loutchina Decius on various musical projects, although the community is still waiting for his first album. His popularity has also spread internationally, especially in the United States, where he represented Haiti in the American Parliament and in various educational institutions on tour with BélO. The artist continues to spread social messages through his music, with titles such as Poukisa?, and remains a living example of Christian commitment in the social life of his country.
Let us keep in mind this verse from Philippians 2 verse 4 which says: let each of you, instead of looking out for his own interests, also consider the interests of others.
