Fair Trade Services celebrates several outstanding Dove Awards for CeCe Winans and Phil Wickham at the 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards. Both artists won awards in the coveted categories of Artist of the Year, Song of the Year,songwriter of the Year (Artist), Worship Album of the Year and Worship Song of the Year.
In front of a live audience at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, TN., Winans received Song of the Year for “Believe For It” and Entertainer of the Year, bringing his Dove total Award at 29. Additionally, Winans made history by becoming the first African-American woman to win Entertainer of the Year.
“All I wanted for this record was for it to touch people’s hearts so that they would be encouraged and filled with hope,” Winans said. “But its success has far exceeded anything I could have imagined. To God be the glory! »
The artist, songwriter and award-winning worship leader Phil Wickham has won three Dove Awards for Worship Song of the Year (“Hymn of Heaven), Worship Album of the Year (Hymn of Heaven) andsongwriter of the year (Artist).
“Once again overwhelmed by the grace and kindness of God, I was even able to do this,” Wickham remarked. “What a joy and privilege it is to write new songs for the church to sing, and to do it alongside this beautiful family/community. Thank you Jesus for giving me reason and purpose, future hope and present joy. You are and will forever be the center of my song.
The GMA Dove Awards were taped live in Nashville, TN on October 18, 2022 and aired exclusively on TBN and the TBN app on October 21. An encore presentation was broadcast on October 28, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. AND.
