Chart-topping DOE continues to make a splash by sharing the gift of God’s love in her music, performing live at this year’s GMA Dove Awards and being honored with two wins throughout the night. DOE rocked the stage with a sold-out crowd, as she delivered a special arrangement of her #1 hit song “When I Pray” leading into “What I’m Waiting For,” from her eleven-track album CLARITY. Entering the Dove Awards with four nominations including New Artist of the Year, DOE won the Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year for CLARITY, his debut full-length album released in early 2022 by Life Room Label’s Jonathan McReynolds in partnership with RCA Inspiration. Elsewhere, she scored another win as featured artist/co-writer for Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year, “Breathe,” released by Maverick City Music (feat. Chandler Moore, Jonathan McReynoldsDOE).
The 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards, celebrating all genres of music and entertainment Christians and gospel, from pop/contemporary, rock, worship, contemporary gospel, traditional gospel to inspirational film, rap/hip-hop, Spanish language, southern gospel and more, has just been released aired on TBN on Friday, October 21. During a busy week-long Dove Awards celebration in Nashville, DOE also co-hosted the GMA Dove Awards pre-telecast with Katy Nichole, who revealed winners in numerous categories, including her winning album for CLARITY, performed at GMA’s New Artist of the Year Showcase on Monday, October 17 (which featured performances from all of the New Artist of the Year nominees) and was honored at Urban Soul Cafe’s pre-dove party with a revolutionary artist award.
Following his Dove Awards wins, DOE released a new recording featuring a Spanish version of “When I Pray (Mi Oración)” feat. White. Available now, DOE teamed up with fellow singer Blanca for a beautiful blend of their voices, showing the power of God and prayer is for everyone without barriers, on the new track sung entirely in Spanish. DOE is the next nominee for Favorite Gospel Artist at the American Music Awards, airing November 20, with voting open to the public every day at VoteAMAs.com until November 14.
