Hellen is a self-taught singer and songwriter. She grew up listening to her father play records on Sunday afternoons; that’s how she fell in love with music. She was so fascinated by the depth of those old golden tunes that it inspired her to start scribbling her own songs and lyrics. Hellen has experimented with all sorts of genres over the years, but it is in gospel music that she has found her true identity and calling as an artist. Music connects her to Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
“I wrote Amazing God in 2021. I had just returned home from recording my first single, Bread of Life. Amazing God is my song of repentance for doubting the gift God has given me and His calling on my life. I praise God for His incredible grace and mercy, even though I don’t deserve it. I truly hope and pray that when people hear this song, they will be revived and their faith in God will be rejuvenated and restored again. I pray that they will trust that everything will work together for good. That even though they can’t see it, that doesn’t mean God isn’t. To trust that everything will evolve into the continuation of what God has spoken over their lives. To walk confidently knowing that God’s incredible love for us lasts forever.” – Hellen
