Colton Dixon Celebrates Top 5 Performances at Unique National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Published on

American Idol finalist Colton Dixon’s hit single “Miracles,” from Dixon’s Atlantic Records debut, has officially reached the Top 5 on Billboard’s National Christian Audience chart after holding the No. 1 spot for 6 weeks on Hot/AC CHR last summer. KLOVE also featured Dixon on their homepage this week, discussing mainstream opportunities, fatherhood, and everyday miracles.

Available to watch on demand at www.thenationaltree.orgBeginning at 5 p.m. ET on December 3 and continuing throughout the holiday season, a festive compilation of Christmas lights and music, national parks and holiday cheer, the 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will bring joy to homes across the country. Dixon will perform a rehearsal at the event when he will sing his new song, a beautiful version of “Let It Snow,” along with performances by country singer/songwriter Jerrod Niemann; country artist Jillian Cardarelli; singer/songwriter Jillian Edwards; country singer/songwriter and actress Kellie Pickler; country artist and American Idol winner Laine Hardy; country group Leaving Austin; award-winning gospel artist Lynda Randle and her brother, Michael Tait, of The Newsboys; singer/songwriter Matthew West; Passion with Melodie Malone; National Park Service Arrowhead Jazz Band; Tucson Arizona Boys Choir; the official choir of the US Navy, The Sea Chanters; and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.

Dixon released “Let It Snow” as he and his wife Annie were about to celebrate their first Christmas with their newborn twins. Written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in July 1945, the classic was written in Hollywood, California, ironically during a heat wave as Cahn and Styne imagined cooler conditions.

Dixon, along with his wife Annie and twin daughters Athens and Dior, recently joined Entertainment Tonight for an exclusive in-home interview. Discussing life as a family of four with correspondent Rachel Smith, they also talked about “Miracles” and “Let It Snow.”

Also this week, after helping decorate the twins’ nursery when they were born, and now again for the holidays, Pottery Barn Kids Featured girls on their social media admit their festive decor and in their Christmas pajamas.
