GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter Chris Tomlin and GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning producer and songwriter Jason Ingram have joined forces to create a new Nashville-based music publishing company, TIM Publishing (Tomlin, Ingram, Music), to become passionate advocates for songwriters and help amplify their gifts. Publishing veteran Stacey Willbur was tapped to lead the team with her extensive experience at EMI CMG, EMI Nashville & Capitol. The publishing company was launched in 2021 and has signed some of Nashville’s brightest songwriters: Steffany GretzingerJess Cates, Tommy Iceland, Benji Cowart and Chris Davenport. “What a dream come true, to be able to be around great songwriters and help cultivate songs that make a difference in this world,” Chris shared. “Jason and I have been thinking about partnering for a while now. We believe that songs matter and we will do everything we can to create a publishing company that champions that vision. I am beyond grateful to the writers who have already said ‘yes’ to be a part of this with us. Truly some of the best!” Jason said, “Chris and I have been friends and co-writers for many years now and it’s truly special to me to be able to start this business with someone I have so much respect for both personally and professionally. And as a songwriter, I have often considered songs to be ‘life rafts’ and have dedicated my entire life to building them.” The chance to help other songwriters maximize their opportunities and potential is the best way I know to launch more “life rafts” into the world.” “I am honored to be a part of this team alongside Jason and Chris,” said Stacey. “I have the utmost respect for them both as creatives and as industry leaders. They are pioneers, visionaries, and dream makers. It’s an incredible opportunity to serve this team and songwriters. I hope we can nurture songwriters in a way that inspires them to be creative in their songwriting craft.”
