Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter and inspirational speaker Briana Domenica is excited to announce the release of her new single, “Defender.” The highly encouraging and upbeat tune, written to uplift and strengthen all who have walked in the darkness of despair, was featured on SoBro Radio’s NuMu on Friday upon its release and is now available on all digital and streaming platforms. “Defender” delivers an extremely poignant message of promise and hope. With its lively, feel-good vibe, the song reminds listeners that while we may face struggles we can’t seem to overcome, we are not alone, and no challenge is too great for God and we can trust Him to see us through these times. Domenica added, “This song has recently taken on a much deeper meaning for me. It has become a reminder that no matter what circumstances or battles I face, God is my defender. I hope that when others hear this song, they will remember the same thing.”
Co-written with Rachel Barrentine and Gene Ezell, “Defender” was produced by Grammy Award-winning musician Nate Cornell (For King and Country) at his studio just outside of Nashville. Cornell adds, “‘Defender’ is a no-holds-barred song with a simple, uplifting message. It reminds us that we have a defender watching over us. The production shows how fearless Briana is with her music. Her heart for reaching out makes Briana the perfect driver for this sonic rollercoaster.”

Domenica is currently filming the corresponding music video which will be released in the coming weeks. She will also perform “Defender” at Jesus In A Bar at Cabana Taps (1910 Belcourt Avenue Nashville, TN, 37212), Monday 2/21 at 6:00 PM CST.
Music is one of Domenica’s greatest passions, but she is also deeply passionate about suicide prevention and awareness after losing several loved ones to suicide, including her older brother. She has also personally struggled with suicidal thoughts. In an attempt to turn the family’s heartache and tragedy into something good, she launched a 501c3 (Angel in the Sky) in May 2016. “I hope that through The Warrior In Me outreach program, we can raise awareness and help save lives through prevention, education, and the power of music,” Domenica commented. Domenica is gearing up to take her program “The Warrior In Me” on the road, both live and virtually. She recently finished filming a series of videos on suicide prevention and awareness that she created from real experiences and raw emotions. She will be releasing it in the coming weeks via her YouTube channel to help others who are struggling with the same challenges.
