The New Jerusalem Church Family Department launched its major conference: “Maintaining Hope in a Difficult Context for the Well-Being of the Family.”
This Sunday, July 7, 2024, the Family Department of the New Jerusalem Church launched its grand conference annual conference under the inspiring theme: “Maintaining hope in a difficult context for the well-being of the family”. Based on the verses of Isaiah 40:31 and Romans 15:13, this series of conferences, spread over four Sundays, aims to offer concrete solutions to the social problems impacting our homes.
To open the show, Pastor Yvon Delissaint brilliantly addressed the captivating topic: “Overcoming Adversity Through Unity and Stability Within the Family.” In a troubled world, where even our church had to move from Delmas 20 to Delmas 33 due to the unrest, it is crucial to promote unity and stability to face family challenges.
Pastor Delissaint highlighted five essential conditions for cultivating this unity and stability:
1. A Good Foundation: The family must be built on solid values and unshakable moral foundations.
2. Ensure efficient organization.
A well-organized family can handle crises better.
3. Manage adversity skillfully.
Resilience in the face of challenges is crucial.
4. Lead a well-ordered Christian life: A nourishing spirituality helps one through difficult times.
5. Have financial stability.
Economic security is a pillar of family serenity.
The church was abuzz with excitement as the pastor answered thought-provoking questions. The audience, captivated by this crucial topic, showed deep interest and sincere engagement.
This day marks the beginning of a spiritual and practical journey to strengthen our families in the face of life’s storms. The coming Sundays promise to be just as rich in teaching and inspiration as we explore further how to keep hope and faith alive in our homes.
Stay tuned so you don’t miss the rest of this edifying conference series from the New Jerusalem Church!
