An exceptional spiritual celebration

On Sunday June 22, at 3 p.m., the church meet Christ was the scene of an unforgettable moment of praise, gratitude and spiritual fire, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the group Jimla Gospel. This highly anticipated concept-anniversary has brought together a mainly young crowd, a remarkable fact which testifies to a contemporary reality: youth seems to rediscover God with passion.

Opening: the Worship Team sets the mood

The concert was opened by the Worship team of the host church. In an atmosphere of freedom and meditation, the songs immediately plunged the assembly into an atmosphere of vibrant faith, where one felt free to worship without restraint. Hands raised, united voices, affected hearts. The Church literally vibrated under spiritual intensity.

Jimla Gospel: twenty years of loyalty to music

First part: the triumphant entry into stage

As soon as they entered the stage, Jimla Gospel announced the color (with a blue outfit, symbol of holiness, faith and divine protection): “Blessed be the Lord!” “,” Senyè, nou adores W, nou beni no w, or leve not w byn wo! ». The public, sweaty but on fire, accompanied the choir despite the stifling heat. The fans danced in the hands of women, but nothing could brake their fervor.

Hymns that mark hearts

The first song ended with the maestro inviting the crowd to sing with one voice. Then had another powerful hymn: “He reigns forever”, where solemnity was mixed with the ambient heat. Someone, visibly upset, exclaimed “Alleluia Bondyeu” in the crowd. A pure, raw, authentic moment.

Then, the classic “Mwen is tèt, Mwen pa janm tail” made the whole assembly vibrate. The Maestro, filled with emotions, let the public take back in chorus “Mwen his Moun Beni”, confirming that this concert was as much a celebration as a living testimony.

One of the highlights was undoubtedly “M Ap Fè W Konfyans”. These words: “or Konnen m pi byen ke tèt mwen … or t’a ye, or la jodi, w ap toujou” seemed to heal the wounds of many souls present.

Guest artists: moments of pure worship

Loutchina: a moment suspended in time

It is in an almost sacred silence that Loutchina went on stage. Eyes closed, she sang “I can only imagine” and “Jezi Wo”, while the public literally drank his words. Bras raised, tilted heads, the whole church was bathed in a moment of worship suspended in time. A moment of pure worship followed with an audience more than willing to receive the Word of God.

Gwoup Louwanj: Exaltation to its peak

Then, the Gwoup Louwanj raised the atmosphere to another level with exhilarating songs like “Senyè, or deserves all Louwanj ki sou tè a, ki nan syèl la”. A performance marked by deep words and exhilarating melodies that have strengthened the central theme of the concert: God deserves all glory.

Joy Clerf: Truth and emotion

The arrival of Joy Clerf Derisier sparked cries of enthusiasm. But it was with calm and sweetness that he transported the church with the song “God is capable of doing everything he says he will do”. A moment of truth when many have felt understood. His song “Pa pale”, much awaited, then electrified the public. Then the artist closed his passage with an overwhelming version of the song “SOS” by Rosenna Orys.

Praise Dance: Divine choreographies

While the assembly slowly recovered from the waves of emotion, the Praise Dance group entered the scene. Their powerful choreographies on catchy songs were ovationed with each figure, as their synchronization and expressiveness were impressive. It was as if each movement glorified God with grace and strength.

The Grand Final: Jimla Gospel tells her story

Second part: a testimony of loyalty

Jimla went back on stage for a last musical picture as strong as the first. The message was clear: “Nothing was easy, but God created a path”. This second passage evoked with conviction the ups and downs of their journey, highlighting the fidelity of God during these 20 years of ministry. Their last song, “Bondye Gen Yon Wout Pou Mwen”, summed up everything they wanted to say that evening: God provides, guides and remains faithful.

The atmosphere: between physical warmth and spiritual fervor

You should know that the heat was intense during the concert. The church was full of cracking, with many people standing, for lack of space. Despite the difficult back and forth, the frescos and bottles of water were sold like hotcakes outside. Inside, a small group of young men created its own dynamic of worship, dancing, singing and animating the breaks, which gave the public a feeling of shared joy, spiritual unity.

This concert was much more than a simple birthday. It was the living testimony of what God can do in a life, in a choir, in a generation. Seeing so many young people vibrate to the rhythm of praise is a sign of times: God is touching hearts in a new way. And Jimla Gospel, blowing her 20 candles, reminded us of an essential truth: God remains faithful, yesterday, today and for eternity.
