Today (March 25), singer/songwriter and worship leader Shaylee Simeone releases the official lyric video for “God of the Wilderness,” which can be viewed below.
“God of the Desert” is a song that Shaylee hopes connects people not only with its wildness and chaos, but also with its desire for intimacy and closeness with us. As for the inspiration behind the song, Shaylee said, “I had carried that chorus in my back pocket for a long time, and I didn’t realize how relevant it would be after this past year!” This song taps into the paradox that God is both a peaceful Father and the Lord over the desert. He is the lion and the lamb.
