On Friday, July 26, the beloved Christian music group, The Nelons, faced a heartbreaking tragedy as they were involved in a tragic plane crash while heading to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise in Alaska. According to a statement from Gaither Management Group, three key members of the group—Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark and their daughter amber nelon kistler—were among those who lost their lives. The crash also claimed the lives of Amber’s husband Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa. Fortunately, Jason and Kelly’s youngest daughter, autumn nelon streetman, was not on board. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently investigating the incident.

They joined other artists and organizers of the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to share their grief and receive support. Bill and Gloria Gaither, along with other artists, gathered to pray and sing hymns, offering moral support and expressing their commitment to help Autumn and Jamie during the difficult days ahead.

In an emotional statement, Autumn Nelon Streetman expressed her deep gratitude for the overwhelming prayers and support she has received. She requested continued prayers for her, her husband Jamie, and their unborn child, as well as for the Kistler, Haynie, and Hodges families. Autumn and Jamie plan to return to their family to start the painful process of healing. They asked the community to stand together and offer support during this incredibly challenging time.
