Deadly stampede at Mike Kalambay concert at Stade des Martyrs
A tragedy occurred at the concert of Mike Kalambay at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). A stampede caused the death of nine people, including a pregnant woman and children. This incident raises serious questions about the security of cultural events in the country. Jacquemain Shabani, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Interior, announced the suspension of non-sporting activities at the Stade des Martyrs and the Stade de Tata Raphaël.
