The story of Noah is always rich in lessons for Christians From our era.
Noah and his ark… This story known to all, Christians or not-Christians, reveals many stages of the Christian life: Challenges, obedience, trials of faith, doubt and perseverance. We suggest you take note of 10 very simple lessons that will help you stay on course.
1. Don’t miss the boat!
This is the first thing to remember. Noah’s contemporaries looked mockingly at the ark. They did not take stock of their state of heart, and this was to their downfall. Don’t miss the boat.
2. Remember that we are all in this together
God’s plan for humanity is unfolding for each of us. It rains on “the just and the unjust,” and salvation in Jesus is accessible to all.
3. Plan ahead
Not everything is spontaneous with Jesus, not everything is simple and miraculous. You also need to know how to think, wait, listen and plan to get into your plan. Do not neglect this aspect.
4. Stay fit
Serving God requires resources and good physical and emotional health. Noah and his family would have had a hard time completing the ark if they had been reduced.
5. Don’t listen to criticism
If you are convinced that God is the source of what is in your heart, don’t let criticism affect you. Know how to surround yourself with advisors, but also learn to ignore the criticism and mockery of those around you.
6. Build your future
Whatever project you want to undertake, you will have to start it! And work on it, in order to build it and bring it to fruition.
7. Don’t work alone
Noah was certainly isolated and mocked, but he was not alone. Supported by his family, he was able to complete what God had entrusted to him. Family, friends, partners, pray that God sends you people to support you.
