Tabernacle of Glory: A New Era for Haitian Community
July 5, 2024, the inauguration of the Church Tabernacle of Glory was held at 390 NW 161st St, Miami, FL 33169, United States. This event marks a historic milestone for the Haitian community, with the construction of an ultra-modern building of nearly 60 million US dollars. This achievement, one of the largest in foreign lands, represents an immense pride for all Haitians. Organized by Shekinah FM and the team of Tabernacle of Glory the event attracted several thousand enthusiastic people.
Bishop Gregory Toussaint : Inspiring Vision and Leadership
Born in Carrefour, Haiti, Bishop Gregory Toussaint began his spiritual journey at a very young age. At the age of 15, he became involved in evangelization and, 17 years later, in 2006, he founded the Tabernacle of Glory in Miami with his wife, Patricia. For more than nine years, he has guided this church with dedication and passion. The inauguration of the new building is only the first step in an ambitious plan to enrich the Haitian community with an elementary school, a residential complex and a financial institution.
Prestigious Guests and Massive Participation
The inauguration ceremony was attended by many prestigious personalities, including Rev. Wilner Prudent and his wife Rev. Naomie Prudent, Commissioner Marleine Bastien, State Representative Mayor Woodson, Oliver G. Gilbert, III, Miami Dade Police Chief Stephanie V. Daniels, North Miami Mayor Alix Desulme, Vice Mayor of North Miami Marie Estéme-Irvin, Former Mayor of NM: Andre Pierre, Former Mayor of North Miami Philippe Bien-Aime, Dr. Shirley Plantin, Haitian Chamber of Commerce: Prinston Jean-Glaude, Sant LA Representative: Executive Director Gepsie Mettellus, CFC Founder: Anthony Verdugo, President of Haitian Democratic Caucus of FL: Hedder Pierre, Naomie Belmur, Rod Joseph, Jeff Lozama, Joseph Michael, Pastor Malory Laurent and his wife also graced the event with their presence. The audience, several thousand in the large courtyard of the new premises and three to four thousand people inside, bore witness to the euphoric and spiritual atmosphere of this memorable day.
An Inauguration Marking the 40 Days of Fasting
The inauguration coincided with the 10th edition of the 40 Days of Fasting, a traditional event of the Tabernacle of Glory. This period of fasting will end with a series of conferences given by eminent figures such as Dr. Mercidieu Philips, Pastor Mohammed Sanogo and Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo. Alongside Pastor Samuel Robuste, Rosena J. Orys and Ammiel Rosilien, renowned artists such as Jean Jean de Montreal, Simiane, Sinach, Dena Mwana, ben Hur berrca and Esther Lormil will also enhance these days of praise and worship.
