The only question you need to ask God

Published on

Some people may be afraid to ask God the hard questions, or maybe they just don’t want to know the real answer. The truth sets us free, but what does that really mean?

What God says is freedom to us may seem like slavery to us, and what looks like slavery is actually what Jesus died for on the cross: our redemption and freedom. The Bible says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways” (Isaiah 55:8a). And some people are even afraid to ask the Father a question.

God’s Word says, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control” (2 Tim. 1:7). Is it really fear or disobedience? Or maybe it’s out of sight, out of mind? We know that when something is revealed to us, we are now responsible for it. Not wanting to know is disobedience. “For to whom much is given, of him much will be required” (Luke 12:48b).

Are we ready to count the cost? Are we ready to allow God to fully have His way in our lives? Are we willing to die for our flesh and align ourselves with the Word of God? Until we rise to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will continue to guard Him on the cross. Jesus died so that we would be free from sin, not perfect, but free by grace. He rose from the dead and died for us to operate in power. He gave us the best gift ever: life and the Holy Spirit.

If we have no knowledge, it is because we do not ask (James 4:2). The devil’s job is to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10a). Every time we ignore the truth, we give the enemy the legal right to torment and wreak havoc in our lives. Take authority and submit to the will of the Father for your life. It is time to live in the fullness of God.

How do we cast out a demon when we walk in agreement with him? How can we heal the sick if we do not forgive?

It’s time to know. Ask God about the areas of our lives that are in agreement with the enemy so that He can set us free. He whom the Son has set free is truly free (John 8:36). It is time for you to seize your inheritance of power and authority in the name of Jesus.
