Award-winning recording artist, accomplished actress, songwriter, producer and businesswoman Tamela Mann releases her first-ever holiday single, “What Christmas Really Means,” this Friday, November 26, on all digital platforms. The single is from her new film, Soul Santa, which also stars Tamela’s husband, NAACP Image Award-winning actor/comedian David Mann. Soul Santa, executive produced by Tamela, David, who was also the film’s music supervisor, Brainstorm Media and Reuben Cannon Entertainment, is directed by Terri Vaughn and is now playing on BET and BET+.
Tamela Mann brings laughter to millions on the big and small screens while enjoying a unique personal blessing. The spirited, multi-talented singer-actress — who plays a struggling mall executive where Santa Claus is disguised as a struggling businessman with mob money — also gets to work on set every day with her husband, David Mann. And while she’s entertained audiences with her acting over the years, Tamela has never strayed far from her first love of singing. When given the opportunity to co-write and perform the film’s Christmas song, she was honored to contribute her own take on “What Christmas Really Means.”
