Sarah Téibo unveils her third studio album ‘Restored’ after preparing for this momentous release with a series of singles released over the past year, including the UK Christian Charts No. 1 song ‘Victory’ and the Billboard Gospel Indicator single ‘Secure’.
Produced in the UK by award-winning producer Goziam Okogwu with contributions from Chuks Chiejine (on ‘Victory’ & ‘Belongs to You’) and Nigerian production collective En-harmonics (on ‘God Alone’), new album ‘Restored’ is available for Pre-order on all digital music stores starting July 2nd. However, avid fans can pre-order now on Bandcamp Now and get immediate access to the lead single “Secure” and the new song “God Alone”.
In partnership with UK media platform aStepFWD and in support of charity Compassion UK, the album would be unveiled live in an exclusive stream. virtual release concert July 24. Sarah hopes to see at least one more child lifted out of poverty through sponsorship supported by ticket sales from the event.
Recorded during the Covid pandemic, a time when so many have lost so much, Sarah’s third studio album ‘Restored’ is filled with songs of hope, healing and restoration and this message is conveyed so eloquently in the sweet, stripped-down and moving ballad she plays on the title track.
“Secure,” the project’s lead single, features award-winning MOBO vocalist Volney Morgan and is a reminder of the peace and security we find in the shadow of God’s wings. “God Alone” and “Glorious King,” which are odes to God’s sovereignty over all things seen and unseen, showcase Sarah’s skillful songwriting abilities and unique gift for transporting listeners into an immersive worship experience.
“Spirit Come” is a beautifully crafted prayer of supplication and a cry for an outpouring of God’s spirit to bring healing to our world. True to her roots, Sarah brings it home with the Afrobeats song “Belongs to You,” which is a soothing blend of Afrobeats and Gospel, a song of thanksgiving and praise to our God who keeps his promises.
“Recording this album despite the unprecedented constraints and challenges of 2020 has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Through the creative process, God has used the songs—even in their formative stages—to heal and restore me spiritually and especially mentally. I feel truly blessed to have been gifted with these songs and to have been touched by them firsthand.”
“I hope the songs on the album ‘Restored’ will help people connect more deeply with God and serve as helpful resources in their personal and corporate worship experiences,” says Sarah, who has worked to make these songs available not only on all digital music stores, but also on platforms like Multitracks, where worship leaders and choirs can access them to use as worship resources and in their services.
