ROUDOLL PIERRE LOUIS
Born on March 20, 1966 in Port-Au-Prince, the only son of his mother Agathe Cadeau and the eldest of a family of 6 children, Roudoll Pierre Louis had a childhood and youth lulled by the most beautiful melodies of the 1970s to 1990s. From his early childhood he developed an aptitude for poetry and music because he was influenced by his father who is a great music lover.
He has been married to Mirtha Chéry since 1990 and is the father of three daughters, Guerdie, Sterline and Mirvenska.
Converted to Christianity in 1984, music was for him the best way to express his gratitude to his Savior JESUS.
His favorite instrument is the guitar, practiced style: classical.
Composer, arranger, singer, Roudoll Pierre Louis has a 26-year career in Haitian evangelical music and four albums to his credit. Under his musical direction, the Echo group of the Celeste harmony, the Jehova Nissi men’s choir and the cherubs choir of the Church of God of the rue du center each produced an album.
The last one which has just been released is entitled “the traveler and his guitar”, a very well-known and very appreciated piece in the Haitian evangelical community and it is his first solo album. Became head of the Lumière radio recording studio after working at the Phareel studio under the direction of his friend Gaston Jean.
The radio man
Roudoll Pierre Louis (#levoyageuretsaguitare) hosts 3 shows, “koutpous” on Saturdays 8 a.m.-9 a.m., “Paroxysm” on Sundays at the same time and “chantelakay” Tuesday 3 a.m.-4 p.m., a very popular show on Lumière radio . One of His greatest pleasures is singing in evangelical Christian assemblies.
These ambitions and his projects as musicians:
1) present other albums to Haitians in general and to evangelical Christians in particular, one of which must contain secular songs if God allows him of course because Roudoll likes to sing about hope, women, nature etc. .
2) Impose his music to the whole world.
3) Become a producer and mentor of young Haitian Christian talents.
Roudoll is madly in love with classical music, on his guitar he especially likes to play Bach and Tarrega.
The singers who influenced him are mainly French such as: Fréderik May, Mike Brant etc. His style is marked by many Haitians too, we can cite: Pascal Albert and Marc yves Volcy from the group the ambassadors of Haiti, and without forget Jean Joseph Normil maestro of the group the sparks of the gospel to name just a few. The album “A Sure Friend” by Daphnée P. Léopold is for him at the moment the best in the female category. Roudoll Pierre Louis “levoyageuretsaguitare”, a voice to discover.
