Rolande Louis, also known by the nickname Rollie, was born on August 23, 1984 in Borgne, in the Nord department of Haiti. She is the eldest daughter of a family of six children. She grew up in Cap Haïtien.
Rollie holds a bachelor’s degree in administrative science and Christian theology. She is also a musician and singer, and has trained in office computing and haute couture. She is married and the mother of three children.
Journey, achievements and creations
With over 20 years of musical career, Rollie began singing at the age of 10, learning to master different voices with the help of his aunts.
At age 11, she joined the Celestial Harmony group at Mont à Bord Church.
At age 13, she was already the lead voice of the children’s choir at the Smyrna Wesleyan Church.
At the age of 14, she was already singing solo in worship and praise services at the Smyrna Wesleyan Church.
At the age of 15, this young rising star attracted attention by joining many groups from the city of Cap-Haitien such as Habazinia, Melchior, Messager du finale temps, etc.
At the age of 16, she launched her solo career by producing her first song called “Jericho” in the Techno style under the band’s label Habazinia.
She also continued to work in music within groups and choirs such as the Groupe Révélation du Cap-Haïtien, the Chrysoprase Orchestra, the Symphonie and Harmony choirs of Cap-Haïtien, etc.
In 2005, she was vice-champion of the “Nwèl kretyen” competition organized by CONACAD in Cap-Haïtien.
In 2006, she became champion of the competition organized by the Bible League “The New Spiritual Contract”.
In 2008 she was a finalist in the Northern department of the Digicel Stars competition and was in high demand in the north.
From 2006 to 2008, she sang simultaneously in evangelical and secular circles in collaboration with Patrick Eustache “Ricky & Rollie”.
In 2009, she joined the ADONAÏ group in Port-au-Prince.
In 2010, champion of the Eben-Ezer competition carried out by Radio 4VEH. During this year, she focused on Christian music from where she began her ministry as a worship and praise leader at the Smyrna Wesleyan Church (Cap Haitien).
In 2017, she was an ambassador for the “I GLORIFY GOD WITH MY TALENT” competition. It was from this year that she relaunched her solo career and highlighted her own compositions.
In 2020, she released her new song “Mwen son bless” written by Mardoché Louis and collaborated with David Morinvil from the DEG choir.
From 2021 to the present, she serves as musical director of the Tabernacle Lumière de Tabarre Church, led by Reverend Pastor Ernest Jean, of which she has been a member since 2016.
In 2022, his new song “Aprè ou se ou” and the cover “The Prayer» translated into Creole and sung in collaboration with Romy Laguerre were published.
On March 8, 2023, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, she released her new song “Map triyonfe“.
on August 23, 2023, the artist published a French version of the music “Map triyonfe” titled “I will triumph“.
Rolande Louissinger, pianist and composer, is a source of blessing for the community evangelical both nationally and internationally.
