My name is Ricardo Junior Richard. I am 26 years old. I am originally from Haiti. I am the eldest of a family of 3 children.
My artist name is: RJ Gospel. So, RJ is rather my initial and Gospel my complement in the spiritual world, the gospel where I drew all my strength to bring people a message of Love, Peace, Restoration and Power.
So where does my love for rap come from? I remember, it all started at the age of 16 when I went to middle school. Street rap was rampant. And that’s when I started writing and gave my all to music
In March 2010, after the earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince, I gave my life to Jesus, obviously aware of the second chance that GOD had given me to save my life.
If I live, it is no longer I who live but it is Christ who lives in me. And, I am proud of my rap because in this rap the name of Jesus, my Savior is glorified
As for My Call, it simply means that Today, I definitively accepted to enter into my destiny. I believe that each person has a call from GOD on their life. We must accept it, embrace it in order to live it fully.
As for me, I have the mission to evangelize and impact the world withlove of God.
My first source of inspiration is GOD the Almighty. I wrote the song My Call when the youth president of my church invited me to present something on GOD’s call for a special evening.
And today, I think it’s good to launch my album with this title because it really spoke to me.
I know that we live in a world that is getting more and more complicated every day. The truth is pushed aside more and more. People feel disrespected, rejected, desperate, and want to commit suicide. Prostitution and gangsterism are just such scourges among others.
There is a crying need for truth, justice, peace, and love.
And my ministry brings joy, hope, life to all without any distinction of gender, class, color, culture, region or religion
I am at the service of everyone. So that everyone can identify and respond to their call
