RCA Inspiration celebrated two wins at the 52nd GMA Dove Awards, with Dove Awards for album releases by Marvin Sapp and Koryn Hawthorne. Marvin Sapp won Traditional Gospel Album of the Year for his thirteenth best-selling album, Chosen Vessel (Verity Records). Koryn Hawthorne won Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year for his sophomore best-selling album, I Am.
With this year’s show’s theme “Stronger Together,” Koryn Hawthorne also performed in the show, while Mali Music (K Approved Enterprises/RCA Inspiration) and Kelontae Gavin (Marquis Boone/RCA Inspiration) delivered two duet performances on stage. . Dove nominee and past winner Mali Music performed (along with Dove Awards co-host Jonathan McReynolds) and presented an award. Nominee Kelontae Gavin performed (with Dante Bowe) and presented an award. Chart-topping nominee DOE (Life Room Label/RCA Inspiration) co-hosted and performed at the 52nd GMA Dove Awards pre-show, which announced winners in multiple categories during its online broadcast.
