Biography of Recherka Rebekah Doristil
RECHANKA REBEKAH DORISTIL is a Haitian evangelical artist born on December 25 in Port-au-Prince, in the locality of Fort-Jacques. Coming from a Christian family and fourth child of its siblings, it defines itself as “a sinner saved by grace”. Currently a resident of Atlanta, in Georgia, this Gospel singer pursues a mission of worship, encouragement and evangelization through her music.
Academic and spiritual training
RECHANKA has a remarkable academic and spiritual profile. She holds:
- A master’s degree in logistics and management of the supply chain
- A license in theology
His primary and secondary training took place at the Saint-Louis college in Bourdon. This double training allows him to combine professional skills and spiritual commitment in his musical ministry.

1. “Hallelujah” (September 25, 2021)
The artist’s first single, “Hallelujah” is a joyful praise song inspired by Psalm 145. This Afro-Gospel style work invites to collective worship with the message “that all flesh blesses his name”. The song is available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Amazon.
2. “Amen” (December 1, 2021)
This deeply personal song has its origin in a 7 -year health test. Recherka suffered from an “invisible disease” which caused a lot of suffering, without the doctors being able to identify the cause. Remarkably, she was healed 2 to 3 months after writing this music. The text aims to recall that “when God speaks, it’s yes and Amen”, testifying to divine fidelity.
3. “Hosanna” (February 12, 2022)
Released on Valentine’s Day, “Hosanna” explores the different aspects of God. Inspired by John 12:13 and Matthieu 21: 9 (“Blessed be the one who comes in the name of the Lord”), this famous song Jesus as a redemptor. The official clip is available on YouTube and the song on all streaming platforms.
4. “No turning back” (August 4, 2023)
This song marks a decisive spiritual turning point in the life of Recherka. She testifies to it that his frequentation of the Church, she was not a true disciple of Jesus. Becoming aware of her state and the commitment it implied, she wrote this music to declare her definitive position with Jesus, saying that she will not back up.
5. “Plis Onksyon” (June 25, 2024)
This song expresses a deep desire to have more anointing to become a better disciple. The inspiration behind this work reflects the aspiration of Réchanka to be a fervent servant and more involved in the ministry. The production mobilized a full team including musicians, choristers and technicians.
6. “MESI” (May 4, 2025)
Latest release, “MESI” (thank you in Haitian Creole) is a song of praise and gratitude. This work thanks God for a particular prayer which has been granted. The artist recalls that this music encountered enormous difficulties before his publication which could have canceled the project, but she wanted to respect her commitment to say thank you to God for his accomplishment.
7. “I Trust you” (May 25, 2025
This completely sung project in English is the last production on the date of the artist Sounka Dristil.
Future projects
Recherka announces that it has “many other on the way music that will come out during the summer”. She continues to develop her repertoire with the constant objective of worshiping God, to encourage the faithful and to contribute to the expansion of the divine kingdom.
