Political Instability, Cascading Reports, The Agenda of the Deeply Disturbed Evangelical Sector

The country is experiencing dark days. As a result, the sky of the evangelical community is darkening. Like all other sectors of national life, that of the Protestant sector is not spared. The incessant socio-political turbulence on the direct, opportunistic and passing consequences of having on the calendar of the actors and occasionally the cascading report of several key meetings. The worrying situation calls out and forces certain reflections for the coming days or even the coming weeks.

It’s a good routine that we’ve gotten used to for a few months. The reasons are different but the observation remains the same: the total or partial paralysis of activities at almost all levels. And the consequences directly affect the projections made by event organizers . Postponements, cancellations, revisions, reconsiderations, the wording diverges but the reality remains: despite the efforts made to create and offer the public new things in a difficult context, the economic situation has always been modified.

Last February, experienced for the first time this sad, and now famous, slogan “Peyi Lòk”. Two weeks of blackout “Who are we? ” and “God “™s Promo ” to cancel their birthday celebration. Furthermore, Rosena Josselin was forced to postpone the release of her first album, which was finally released 5 months later.

Jimla postpones her show

Here we are in September and still rehashing the same refrains. This time it was the Jimla Évangile choir with its show “Chansons Inédites” which bore the brunt. The first edition of the “Carrefour en Evangile” festival must be reported one week after the first outing of the group “Les Prêcheurs tous les stars” on the Rocher de Delmas de la Nouvelle “Backstage” mission on O Inter radio, only one week of broadcast possible. This Wednesday, September 25, the group Opale was forced to postpone, in turn, its release of a new song that Spirit Dance postponed, for its part, “Fun Fair” for a series. A series of activities for children as well as the concert which closed the day on Sunday September 29. A non-exhaustive list which promises to rally around the current situation does not encourage optimism.

The entire calendar of the evangelical sector was threatened by this turbulence. Certain dates, always maintained, are at the mercy of these spontaneous and often unpredictable movements. A situation that certainly seems to affect the toll taken by the Christian community, as well as the entire country, at the end of the year.

The country’s authorities are not reassured. Worse still, they seemed as alarmed and overwhelmed by the events as the citizens. To speak of uncertainties for the days to come would be an understatement. All the lights are red and the continued descent towards the depths is not the same, not even the authenticity a few months ago. We need an awakening, we need a burst of pride, we need to be prayed further. Yes, we need everything, but first we need to stop dressing ourselves as the primary enemy of our nation’s future.
