Pierre Markens Edmond, born in 1988, is the eldest of a family of two children. After immigrating to neighboring countries to study computer science, he now settles in Haiti with his mother and his little sister where he works as a programmer analyst in a local company.
Mark Edmond, his artist name, is first and foremost a Christian who firmly believes in God, in the sacrifice of Calvary and in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Roger Anglade college alumnus describes himself as a music lover with a penchant for American standard jazz and bossanova, Brazilian music. This love first led him to the piano. Subsequently, he realized that he also and above all had the gift of voice. But it was in Santiago de los Caballeros that the young Christian was ecstatic about the beauty of jazz. His passion is such that he improvises as a jazzman in a posh bar in the heights of the big city Dominican. His models are Lalah Hathaway, Beethovas Obas, George Benson, Michael Bublé, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Nat King Cole.
His first performances in Port-au-Prince date from May 1, 2016 in a show called Musiquality proposed for International Jazz Day. And since then, he has been a voice that has established itself in the community musical evangelical Haitian. His style and his music is very popular with young people. Mark brings a freshness and a touch that was so lacking in an environment that turned more towards gospel and worship.
Mark has to his credit two singles (My Miracle and Tanpri tounen) and a test pressing (Impossible is not Christian) released under the Concept Event Master label. He will present to the public his very first album aptly titled “Impossible is not Christian” on March 25, 2018. God has revealed eleven (11) superb compositions to Mark and his team. From smooth jazz to mazouk, neo-soul and bossanova, Mark invites you to discover his music where everyone will be served.
