Bowyer & Bow/Capitol Christian Music Group artist Pat Barrett announces the upcoming release of his sophomore studio project, Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly, on February 26. The album features 17 tracks including four tracks released in 2020 (“Canvas and Clay,” “Lightning (ft. Harolddd),” “No Weapon,” and “Heavenly”). The pre-order from the new album is available nowand a new pre-order track “Morning By Morning” can be heard below.
“‘Morning By Morning’ was written with Mack Brock, Ben Smith and Daniel Bashta. So much scripture about the morning. So much scripture about God’s faithfulness. So many songs written because of it. What a beautiful thing to be part of a long line of people over so many generations to sing about it,” Barrett said on social media.
Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly was recorded over a two-year period and highlights Barrett as both a worship leader and artist/songwriter. The album also features guest artists such as Chris Tomlin on “As For Me” and Harolddd on “Lightning.”
Barrett’s gift for writing melodies with timely emotional lyrics has propelled his songs to the top of radio charts as well as the global church. His #1 song, “Build My Life,” continues to impact the church as one of his two songs on the CCLI Top 100 Songs chart as well as 17 songs in the Top 2000. The new album boasts several producers including Ed Cash, Jason Ingram, Hank Bentley, Jonathan Smith, Harold Brown, Aaron Robertson, Daniel Bashta and David Leonard. Songs on the album are co-written by Chris Tomlin, Jason Ingram, Matt Redman, Daniel Bashta, Ben Smith, Cody Carnes, Mack Brock, David Leonard, Harold Brown, Johnathon Jay, Jordan Frye, Jeff Pardo, Hank Bently and Patrick Mayberry.
