Who is Aquela Dorvil, founder of this project?
Aquela Dorvil is an evangelical singer born April 6, 1984. He is known as the good Samaritan of the children of La Gonâve. Married and a father, he studied journalism, public relations, diplomacy, psychology and theology.
He began singing in a group called “Celestial Preacher” in his church at a young age. His first experience as a lead singer was on November 3, 2002, which allowed others to recognize his potential and talent as an artist.
Since then, he has performed solo songs and participated in various competitions, such as “Digicel Stars” and “Telemax”, both in provincial towns and in the capital, Port -au-Prince.
As a musician, Aquela Dorvil released two albums: “Pale pou mwen” in 2015 and “Fèl pou mwen papa” in 2019.
What is the origin of this foundation?
Aquela Dorvil previously served as national youth president and has also worked with Compassion International and World Vision. He regularly organized events to bring together children and young people.
It is this atmosphere, associated with his unparalleled passion for helping children and his love for them, as well as several other contexts, which gave rise to this project which has become the ” Pale pou mwen Foundation.
Aquela Dorvil claims to have developed a more extensive concept to help children in La Gonève, Palma and other regions, thanks to the support received.
According to the artist, the Christians have two missions: spiritual and social. Through this same project, Aquela was already very involved in the “production pale pou mwen”, which helped several evangelical artists such as Betenson Constant, Finette Pierre, Lovenson Clerveau and others. Mission of the Foundation
The Pale pou mwen Foundation supports vulnerable children in the areas of health, education and nutrition. As a major project, the foundation wishes to set up a school, build a health center and a reception center in the district of La Gonâve, first municipal section of Palma in the locality of Plato Mera.
The singer of the hit “Pale pou mwen” said that the foundation has so far not yet collaborated with donors for funding, but is receiving support from some friends, both national and international.
The Pale pou mwen Foundation is open to all types of aid, whether in health equipment, school supplies, cosmetic products, food, clothing and others.
The Pale pou mwen Foundation currently helps 72 children. And in terms of volunteers, the foundation counts on the participation and involvement of seven professors, four doctors, two of whom are active and two part-time.
