Fre Gabe: From rapper to Pasteur, a new call in his life
The Christian rapper Gabriel Pierre Alan, better known as Fre Gabe, comes out of his silence and announces a decisive turning point in his artistic career. From rapper to Pasteur? This is the big question that agitates his fans since he revealed that he can now call him Pag, who could well mean Pasteur Alan Gabriel.
In a publication on his networks that left no one indifferent, Fre Gabe said he was fully responding to his divine call. For lovers of his hard -hitting flow and his inspiring words, the artist leaves an open door: if it is the will of God, they can expect a last album before he devoted himself completely to his pastoral ministry.
Converted to Jesus Christ in August 2016, he marked the Haitian Christian rap with his unwavering talent and faith. In March 2019, he released his first album “Mete Frè Devan Non M”, followed by a second in 2021 called “TMVE” and several EPs who confirmed his commitment to the Gospel. Unlike others, after his conversion, he never turned his back on his call, and today he takes a new step.
Fre Gabe thus joins an emblematic list of figures of Haitian Christian music having embraced the pastoral ministry, like Lochard Rémy, Jean-Claude Derisier, Delly Benson, James Smith Alcindor, and many others.
His future in music is perhaps uncertain, but one thing is certain: His commitment to God is just beginning. We wish him strength, courage and blessings in this new mission. May God accompany him.
