Portrait of a worshiper forged by the test

Myrdith Mélus: 10 years of ministry between triumph and Renaissance

In the universe of contemporary Haitian gospel, few journeys illustrate both the transformation by the test as that of Myrdith C. Mélus. This woman, who defines herself above all as a worshiper rather than an artist, has gone through a decade of ministry marked by remarkable successes, deep trials, and a spiritual rebirth that continues to inspire today.

The foundations of a ministry (2014-2017)

Born in haiti/”>haiti/”>haiti/”>haiti/”>Haiti and naturalized American, Myrdith C. Mélus launched his ministry in May 2014 with a clear vision: to form a new generation of worshipers anchored in the Word of God. THE We Project (Worship Experience Project) arises from this ambition, offering training in which participants learn to worship “with the Bible in hand”, in its own terms.

Its revolutionary approach for the time was to raise the standard of worship beyond simple vocal performance. “It is not only to get up to sing because we have a beautiful voice,” she explains in our recent interview, “but it is a standard to reach as an adrator, the way you have to live, to recover entirely to God”. This philosophy of “Complete Surrender” (total abandonment) becomes the cornerstone of his pedagogy.

In 2017, during his first large interview, Myrdith reveals that she had already affected 161 people through his training. Married for ten years in Depudy Rithou Mélus, mother of a daughter named Ri’anne, she juggles between her part -time ministry, her studies in human resources at Rasmussen University, and her work as an insurance agent. His discography then has three singles: “Gade Jan’W Gran”, “Sèl Mwen au Jezu”, and a Creole adaptation of Excess Love in collaboration with Rosena J. Orys.
