Mike, Lee Elminis, The New Favorite Of The Christian Public

Published on

Unknown a week ago, Mike-Lee Elminis went from completely anonymous to the rank of darling of the general public in just a few days. A simple video, posted randomly, showing the young teenager performing part of the song “Bondye Fél” by Rosena Josselin, went viral in just a few hours and captured the ™attention of thousands of Internet users in Haiti and elsewhere. Without an instrument, without decoration or speech, with only his voice as his only tool, the young boy ignited social networks and was the center of debate within the evangelical community to end up landing a place in the weekly show “Studio Fest” alongside the singer he played.

It is not every day that we have the opportunity to experience the birth of a star in the Christian world. Yet this is what Rosena and the organizers of “Studio Fest” offered us by seizing the opportunity this Sunday, April 26, 2020 to propel Mike-Lee Elminis into the spotlight. The young nugget didn’t flinch and even confirmed for her first outing. He added that little extra that was needed to make people forget that the concert had, in fact, started more than an hour late and even fueled the impatience of Internet users. The first attempt, attempted during the week with the little amateur video, literally turned into a masterstroke.

Mike-Lee Elminis, a huge talent in the shoes of a shy person

Changing your status from one day to the next is enough to make you dizzy, and it’s not Mike-Lee who will tell us otherwise. With a blank face, visibly intimidated by the atmosphere of the recording studio, it is a kid closed in on himself that we met this Sunday before his performance at “Studio Fest”. Accompanied by his father, Antonesse Elminis, his brother Leevingston Elminis and his sister Hallie Meranda Elminis who came to encourage him, Mike-Lee took a few good minutes to find his bearings in this totally new universe for him.

At Koze Kretyen’s microphone, a voice full of innocence and tinged with shyness will furtively attempt to answer the questions. It is his father who will make the presentations and will tell us about his son in more detail. Mr. Elminis will tell us that his son, currently fourteen years old, has always had this passion for singing since he was very young. He was barely 6 years old when he had already been noticed at home. Nephew of singer Jean Claude Dérisier (Zoom), the latter very quickly took him under his wing to encourage him and help him take his first steps in the musical field.

Mike-Lee under the watchful and protective eye of his uncle Jean Claude Dérisier (Zoom)

Today, like all children, he must be patient before continuing with his school studies but he does not intend to be bored by then. Now that he is no longer in the shadows, we can expect him to put his talent more in the spotlight. His uncle, the pastor Jean Claude Dérisier, is already announcing the colors with his protégé. On site during Mike-Lee’s first performance, the maestro confided that he was already working on several projects on which we will find the voices of his son Joy Tlerf Dérisier, Hallie Elimis (his niece this and sister of Mike-Lee) and of course Mike-Lee, the sensation of the hour.

We can clearly expect to see the names of the “Dérisier and Elminis” families associated in the coming days. The young Mike-Lee already appears in the latest video clip of singer Jean Claude Dérisier, released on Saturday April 25 titled “Pandemi sa pap rantre”, and the latter does not intend to part ways of his dear nephew whom he already presents as one of the sure values of the evangelical community of tomorrow.
