Mike Donehey Releases New Song + Album Pre-Order

Today (July 16), Mike Donehey released “Glory I Can’t See,” which can be heard below. Additionally, Donehey launch pre-order for his next album scheduled for the end of August 2021.

Donehey shares:
“I named the album Flourish after a song I wrote at the beginning of the pandemic last year. I wanted to raise my fist and voice in defiance of my situation. I wanted to remind my heart that true fulfillment is not external but internal. I wanted to remind myself that even if heaven and earth give way, Christ remains the strength of my heart and my portion forever. I can’t wait for you to hear all 11 songs on this album, set to be released on August 27, 2021.

The song that’s out today, Glory I Can’t See, is about the moment I realized I was playing the victim. Angry and sad about canceled tours and projects, I sat down to write this song with my friends Andrew and Chris. From the first line, I started crying. I knew we were onto something special. It turns out this song has been my anthem for months. I’m so excited to finally share it with you all. I pray it serves as a cry to not let the valuable lessons we learned in 2020 be lost as we rush toward “normal” in 2021.”
